Aptis for Teachers: Grammar Practice Test 3

Teachers' Grammar Test 3

Aptis for Teachers: Grammar Test 3

Here’s another Aptis Grammar Test for teachers. All our tests follow the official format: 25 multiple-choice grammar questions with three options to choose from.

The questions deal with themes and scenarios that teachers come across every day. The majority of the questions focus on formal/semi-formal written grammar, but some are based on spoken grammar and also include informal language.  Remember you can find more details on these two question-types in Aptis for Teachers: Grammar Practice Test 1. This mixture of questions is the same in the Aptis General and Aptis Advanced tests, but these are set within the context of education and teaching.

As you should know by now, the grammar component forms part of the Aptis Core Test. In the Core Test you have to do 50 questions in 25 minutes, equally divided between grammar and vocabulary. So that gives you 12.5 minutes for the 25 grammar questions. This means you can take up to 30 seconds per question.

The Core Test grammar questions are always in a three-option multiple-choice format, so we’ve done exactly the same in our practice tests.  We’ve also kept to official exam timing, so that you can get used to how it feels.

Check out our Grammar Reference section. If what you need isn’t included there, please let us know via the comment box or our contact page. If you’re interested in buying a grammar book for further practice, we recommend Raymond Murphy’s English Grammar in Use series.

So let’s get started!
