Aptis ESOL for Teachers: Grammar Test 4

At last, we have a new Grammar Test for you! The Aptis ESOL for Teachers Grammar Test is part of the Core Test, which, as you know by now, is the grammar and vocabulary component. Our grammar tests all follow the official exam format and timing (12.5 minutes – the Core Test lasts 25 minutes in total). There are 25 multiple-choice grammar questions, each with three options to choose from.

As with all parts of the Aptis test for teachers, the questions are set within the context of education and teaching. Most focus on formal/semi-formal written grammar, but some are based on spoken grammar and also include informal language.  For more details on these two question-types, go to Aptis for Teachers: Grammar Practice Test 1.

If you make a mistake, you’ll find a simple explanation pops up to help you improve. We recommend you to take a note of the grammar point and look it up in the B1, B2 & C1 Grammar Reference. If we haven’t covered it yet, we recommend Raymond Murphy’s excellent English Grammar in Use series.

So let’s get started!
